NOCS will organize a tutorial day before the symposium on Sunday, May 10, 2009. We invite proposal submissions for half or full day tutorials on all topics in the general areas of NOCS (see to the Call for Papers) and especially tutorials bridging these areas, or presenting new perspectives in these areas.
Tutorial proposals should be submitted as a 1-2 page PDF file by email to the tutorial chair Kees Goossens kees.goossens@nxp.com. It should include a short description of the content, the structure of the tutorial and the proposed list of speakers.
NOCS will organize one or more special sessions that address new and forward looking topics of high interest in a focused way. A typical special session will be embedded in the conference, will be 1.5 hours long and will consist of three presentations. One full paper in the proceedings will be reserved for each special session and we expect that all authors of a special session co-author one paper.
Special session proposals should be submitted as a 1-2 page PDF file by email to the program chairs Radu Marculescu radum@ece.cmu.edu or Axel Jantsch axel@kth.se. It should include a description of the content, the structure of the session and the list of speakers and authors.
NOCS will organize one or more panels to discuss timely and perhaps controversial ideas, trends and topics in an interactive manner. A typical panel is expected to be 1-1.5 hours long, will have 3-5 panelists and must allow sufficient time for interaction with the audience.
Panel proposals should be submitted as a 1 page PDF file by email to the program chairs Radu Marculescu radum@ece.cmu.edu or Axel Jantsch axel@kth.se. It should include a description of the topic, the moderator and the list of panelists.
The notification of acceptance for tutorials, special sessions and panels will be announced on March 13, 2009.
