Our group stays at the forefront of harnessing nanotechnology for computing, energy conversion and biological sensing applications. Our research interests include nanomaterial synthesis, advanced semiconductor physics, coupled electromechanical systems (NEMS). The group explores semiconductor structures with dimension between atomic and 100 nm-scales as well as key enabling technologies for a more pervasive future information landscape, including high speed computing, energy conversion/harvesting as well as solid state device-bio interface.
We welcome highly motivated and creative undergraduate, graduate students to join our group in pursuing exciting nanotechnology applications.
Feel free to contact Prof. Jie Xiang or any group member and to stop by our usually hectic laboratory for a visit. We are located in the La Jolla campus of UCSD, EBU-1 building. To find our lab on a campus map click here. For driving directions click here to go to Google Maps.
