Graduate Students

We seek highly motivated students with the solid scientific background in one of the following areas: engineering, physics, materials science and biological sciences. Both graduate research assistantships and fellowships are available.

Postdoc Researchers

A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available immediately at the Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) department at UCSD. Applicants should have earned a Ph. D in physics, electrical engineering, materials science engineering, or other relevant disciplines. Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Optical instrumentation and characterizations
  • Micro- nanofabrication
  • EM wave simulations
  • Plasmonics and metamaterials
  • Biomedical imaging

We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with team spirit. The successful applicant will be expected to have excellent hands-on skills and carry out independent research.  Excellent writing skill is also highly preferred for publication and proposal preparations.
